A part that holds up some commercial outdoor lights can break and let the fixture fall. Lithonia Lighting is recalling RSX luminaires that use AASP, AARP, AAWB and AAWSC adjustable tilt arm mountings, the CPSC said.

The recall, announced Oct. 22, 2026, covers about 11,532 units. The CPSC said the mounting's knuckle can fail, letting the light drop and creating a risk of serious impact injury.

Key facts

What is being recalled

The recall covers RSX luminaires on AASP, AARP, AAWB and AAWSC adjustable tilt arm mountings used for commercial outdoor lighting.

The arm lets the light tilt anywhere from 0 to 90 degrees above horizontal, the CPSC said.

Only some production runs are affected. The recalled arms were made from August 2019 through July 2020 and from August 2024 through April 2026.

Some models are not part of it. Lithonia says mountings used with RSX1 and RSXF1 luminaires are excluded from the recall.

Which installations are covered

Each mounting code points to a type of installation. According to the SaferProducts.gov recall record, AASP is for square poles, AARP for round poles, AAWB for wall brackets and AAWSC for a wall bracket with a conduit box.

Federal recall data on SaferProducts.gov show the products were made in the United States and Mexico.

Where they were sold

The lights were sold by commercial distributors across the country, including Turtle & Hughes Inc. and Consolidated Electrical Distributors. They cost between $400 and $2,200.

Sales ran from August 2019 to August 2026, according to the CPSC.

The hazard

The CPSC said the knuckle on the mounting can fail, which lets the luminaire fall and poses a risk of serious injury from impact.

So far the company has received 13 reports of mountings breaking and four reports of fixtures falling. No injuries have been reported.

What it means for you

This recall mainly affects businesses and property managers, since the lights were sold for commercial outdoor use through distributors. If your site uses RSX lights on adjustable tilt arms, check the mounting type against the recall list.

The CPSC says owners should stay clear of the area directly beneath the light.

Practical steps

What happens next

Under the remedy, a qualified professional replaces the recalled mounting with a new complete adjustable arm assembly. Lithonia's phone line is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday, according to the CPSC.

The recall number is 27-041, and Lithonia Lighting is based in Atlanta, Georgia.
